Doctor Olsen

 


Mark Olsen, MD received his undergraduate education at the Univeristy of Arkansas in Fayetteville and his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.  He completed his residency in Family medicine in Fayetteville.  He also has a naturopathic medical degree, has training in Functional Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine.  

 

Dr. Olsen started his Family Medicine practice in northwest Arkansas in 1988.  He is one of the original seven doctors that started Northwest Physicians.  He left this group in 2004 to establish a private practice in Lowell, Arkansas.  He began prescribing bioidentical hormones in 1993 after reading Dr. John Lee's book Natural Progesterone.  His hormone practice began to grow quickly primarily by word of mouth.  Since 2010 Dr. Olsen has limited his new patients to those needing hormone replacement while also offering micronutrient testing, food allergy testing and most recently adding genetic testing to help optimize one's nutritional choices.
